A guest house on the seafront, a dentist in South Shore and a chip shop in Bispham all get found in different ways. Here is how each part of the borough searches, and what to do about it.
The borough has 750 accommodation and food firms, and visitors choose by the night: "bed and breakfast Blackpool" averages about 1,300 searches a month and hit 2,400 in October. Rooms, photos, prices and a booking link need to be on a fast page before the season starts. Send the quote form and tell us how many rooms or covers you have.
Residents type the job and the district. Searches for "dentist Layton" reach about 2,400 a month (the name can also match Layton outside Blackpool), "dentist South Shore" about 390 and "roofer Blackpool" about 1,600, and 540 of the borough’s 555 construction firms have fewer than ten staff. The north of the borough runs into Cleveleys, Thornton and Poulton-le-Fylde, which sit in Wyre, not in Blackpool.
